Sarah Dennis

'Catching the Big Fish'






Sarah’s work invokes a feel of story tale innocence with a contemporary twist. The exhibition will be whimsical journey from the fox's perspective takes you though the sea and into the mountains.





Original artworks, limited edition prints, cards, toys, badges and zines will be for sale.

A Fox Among Hedgehogs



This exhibition by Harry Waine is show of two halves:

Suggestion Box, a series of small paintings of creatures (common, endangered, extinct and fictitious) as suggested by friends, family and strangers via his blog The Paper Stacks.

Encounters involves paintings and a sculpture of situations inspired by life, death, nature, humanity, truth, lies and wonder.

Exhibition dates: 6th July - 17th July. The artist will in attendance on Saturday 10th July dispensing goody-bags and conversation from 2pm.

Approach - Lotte Fløe Christensen and Mette Juul

Here Gallery is pleased to present the work of two emerging Danish photographers in a collaborative show as part of the Bristol Festival of Photography. Join us for the preview on Thursday 13th May.



Lotte Fløe Christensen was born in 1979 in Ry, Denmark. She now lives and works in Copenhagen. She studied at The Glasgow School of Art, Scotland and at The School of Art and Design in Helsinki, Finland. Her work has been shown in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Scotland, Germany, France, Austria, Canada and the US.



Mette Juul is a Danish photographer educated in the UK. She has a background in film making and has exhibited in places such as Denmark, Germany, China and the UK. Juul’s work is based on the idea of the collection of images and the potent ial narrative that lies within a personal archive of photographs.

The exhibition continues until 12th June.

If you're spending the bank holiday weekend down in Cornwall, then head to our sister gallery in Falmouth for an exhibition by doodlemeister Jon Burgerman, with a special preview opening on Monday 3rd May.



During the first week of the exhibition you have the opportunity to become Jon's pen friend. Write to Jon and he will send you a personal reply, your very own Burgerman original. This offer is strictly limited and only available from the gallery so make sure you get in quick!

The Small Chair

A hearty congratulations go out today to Russell Quinn on his appointment as Digital Media Director for the wonderful publisher McSweeney's. Russell was one of our volunteer staff members back when we first opened, before heading to Europe to further his creative endeavours.



He has already created the popular McSweeney's iPhone app The Small Chair, and more recently an app for Creative Review magazine.

Some of our other illustrious alumni include; Camilla Stacey, currently curating the Bath Spa Gallery, Jane Porter, who has established Central-Reservation, a temporary project space in Bristol, and Harriet Fleuriot, an award-winning filmmaker now based in London
